IT WILL BE HELD IN MONTE-CARLO, PRINCIPALITY OF MONACO,
FROM 27 TO 30 NOVEMBER 2024
An international jury composed of leading figures in cinema, television
and in fashion will be present for the 21st edition of the Monte-Carlo Film Festival de la
Comédie, the prestigious event, conceived and directed by Ezio Greggio which
will take place from 27 to 30 November at the Grimaldi Forum in the Principality of
Monaco. The personalities selected to be part of the jury of the 21st edition of
one of the most important festivals dedicated exclusively to comedy include; the
President Anne Brochet, known for her performances in “Cyrano de Bergerac”, “The
“Riccio” and “If you don't, I will”, which received the César Award for best non-fiction actress
protagonist for “Tous les matins du Monde”; Federica Sabatini, revelation actress
of the TV series “Suburra- The series” “Suburræterna”, “Red Mirror” and the long-awaited “Prophecy”
Ricky Memphis, an actor known for comedy films such as “Immaturi”, “Vacanze di Natale a
Cortina”, “The Penguin Move” and for more serious series such as “Everything Asks
salvation” and films like “Ultrà”. Finally, “last but not least” Andrea Ferreol, the well-known
French actress, muse of Marco Ferreri for “La Grande Abbuffata”, “L'Ultimo Metro” by
Francois Truffaut (nominated for best supporting actress at the Cezar) and “I Am
“Crazy about Iris Blond” by Carlo Verdone for which he received a nomination for the David
by Donatello in 1997.
Conceived and directed by Ezio Greggio, the Monte-Carlo Film Festival, now in its
21st edition, it is one of the most prestigious festivals in the world dedicated to comedy.
This year too it will take place at the renowned Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo,
where screenings and masterclasses alternate with some of the most beloved protagonists of the
international, Italian and French cinema. The event will culminate with the traditional
Gala evening and the awards ceremony, scheduled for Saturday 30 November. The aim
The main aim of the Monte-Carlo Film Festival is to promote and disseminate the various genres of
comedy through film previews, both in competition and out
competition. The Kermesse represents an important international showcase for a
a genre much appreciated by the public, but often considered "minor" by critics.
Thanks to the commitment of Ezio Greggio and the late Mario Monicelli, co-founder of the
festival, comedy has also received a re-evaluation in other major festivals
prestigious locations such as Cannes, Rome, Turin and Venice. After the excellent feedback
of the previous edition, the introduction of a section dedicated to
short films, the Short Comedy Award, reserved for directors, actors and producers of short films

The event takes place, in collaboration with EFG Bank (Monaco), under the High
Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and the Italian Embassy. Also
