Musical phenomenon Claude will perform on April 29 at the Grimaldi Forum during the final Grand Gala of the 20th edition of the Montecarlo Film Festival de la Comédie (April 24 - 29), conceived and directed by Ezio Greggio.
Claude, a successful emerging artist, is becoming popular in Europe, thanks to his music that draws inspiration from different cultures and traditions. Originally from Congo and living in the Netherlands, Claude sings in several languages, including English and French, and mixes genres such as R&B and electro-pop with African polyrhythms.
Claude’s debut single, “Ladada (Mes Derniers Mots),” quickly caught the attention of audiences and critics alike, thanks to its catchy melody and emotional delivery. The song peaked at number one on Spotify’s Top 50 and Top 40 in the Netherlands for six consecutive weeks, earning her first gold record. The music video for “Ladada” follows the song’s emotional compass, with sequences that alternate between moments of pain and moments of hope. The song’s title, which means “my last words” in French, is a call for confession and liberation through music.
Claude made his debut on The Voice Kids in 2019, where he impressed the judges with his version of Stromae's "Papaoutai" and had all four chairs turning. Since then, he has continued to break records, becoming one of the most sought-after emerging artists in the Netherlands and beyond.
Claude's success is also extending beyond Europe's borders, with his music conquering audiences in France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The event, in collaboration with EFG Bank (Monaco), has always taken place under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and the Italian Embassy. Like last year, Radio Monte Carlo is the official Radio of the Festival.
Like every year, Marlù Gioielli participates in the festival with an important message: Marlù encourages you to follow your dreams, just as cinema makes you dream, makes your imagination and creativity run wild, cinema is a dream factory... actors and actresses have their own dreams to make come true and they have their own GOLDEN RULES to achieve them.
